How to Become a Coach

If you are interested in becoming a coach, the first step is to complete a Beginners General Coaching Principles course which is free of charge at http://www.ausport.gov.au/participating/coaches/education/onlinecoach.

Sports Education and Learning  provide specialist athletics coaching courses which comply with the National Coach Accreditation Scheme and Athletics Australia.

How to Become an Official

If you are interested in becoming an ANSW official, more information can be found on the ANSW website under Volunteers in the menu or click here.  Exams are run reguarly based on the IAAF handbook and you'll be required to assist at a couple of events under supervision prior to being accredited.
